A staple in Philly for great deal and great eats. Asian Bowl is so filling and the nachos are a secret weapon! Always fresh and delicious
I started getting the cobb salad from Fuel and its absolutely delicious!! I add sweet potatoes with extra dressing. I can drink that avocado lime dressing! Thanks always Rocco!!
We ordered the green machine juice and avo toast. I loved both. The spot is so cute, clean and Rocco is down to earth and gave us great recommendations for Philly.. Thanks again!!
What a great restaurant! Highly recommend. Fresh foods. Lots of sandwich and salad options for lunch (along with bowls and so much more). Large variety. Gluten free (celiac) safe and vegetarian options (along with tofu!). Definitely give it a try, you will be pleased and happy you did.
This is my first time visiting this restaurant. I often passed by the one in Center City Philadelphia. We were looking for something nearby and healthy and found this place in South Philadelphia, amidst the passyunk corridor. I love it here, there are plenty of great restaurants, cafes, and retail shops. When I write reviews, I always strive to be fair. My intention is never to harm a business, only to acknowledge the hard work that goes into it. When we walked in, it had a bit of a pizza shop smell and there was seasonal holiday music playing in the background - a bit fuzzy, probably from the radio. The ladies behind the counter were busy but very nice. A few things caught our attention: the menu didn't match with the kiosk and could use an update. We decided on three menu options. I initially wanted the black bean burger, but the ingredients were uncertain so I opted for the vegan stacker which had roasted zucchini, roasted squash, marinated artichokes, vine-ripened roma tomatoes, mixed greens, vegan cheese, and aged balsamic reduction. I didn't taste the balsamic reduction, which normally is one of my favorites. However, the sandwich was just okay - not amazing, not bad, just satisfying. It seemed lacking in depth of flavor, missing the distinct taste of roasted squash and marinated artichokes. The bread was decent, but I feel like a Philly-style roll would have been a great addition, considering Philly is known for its bread. My companion's sandwich was much better - a jerk mushroom pita with roasted mushrooms, Jamaican jerk sauce, red onion, red bell peppers, fresh spinach, mozzarella, and extra roasted tofu and veggies. It was very flavorful and we enjoyed it. The salads were fresh, but the soup felt more like cafeteria-style. We both love soup and thought it could have been better. We were also missing a variety of side sauces and a condiment station, something we appreciate in many places. The staff did offer a Sriracha bottle, which was a nice touch. On a side note, the bathroom had a tiny toilet very low to the ground and no hand rail - not the most comfortable for taller guests or those with mobility issues. I appreciate the concept of this place and the healthy options it offers, but I believe a few improvements could be made. Updating the menu, being transparent with ingredients and nutrition information, and having a thorough knowledge of the items served are key suggestions for the restaurant. These are crucial for individuals with allergies or specific dietary needs. The overall value of the restaurant could be enhanced with some minor upgrades in food preparation techniques. I feel like we've been spoiled by many independent restaurants we've visited in the city over the past year, having been to over 100 places. I'd like to return here in the future to try their bowls and salads and smoothies. A special thanks to the young lady who assisted us - she was very kind and knowledgeable to the best of her ability.
LOVE this Passyunk avenue spot. I’m there basically every day and it never misses. The food’s always fresh, quick, and leaves you feeling healthy + the vibe is upbeat and welcoming. Personal favorites are the Sweet Pea dip (very addictive), Green Machine smoothie (GO BIRDS andddd it tastes amazing ) and the Grilled Cheese with spinach dip & chicken. Rocco and his staff are great and make you feel like part of the neighborhood. 10/10!
